Michelle’s #upBEattribe Journey

Why did you start your health journey?

I spent 9 weeks in hospital in 2016, and was diagnosed with Lupus. I’ve spent the last few years recovering after a horrendous time, and gradually building my strength up again, while learning to manage my Lupus.

How did you find UTTB and what impact has it had on your health journey?

I found Gina’s Up to the BEat workout DVDs while looking for a dance workout on Amazon UK. The tribe has been an incredible source of support, inspiration and motivation. I never feel alone on this journey.

My Favorite #upBEattribe Workout?

Dance That Walk’s Total Body Circuit – the upper body circuit is my favourite part!

What wins I’ve celebrated (scale and non-scale victories)?

I’m getting stronger daily, and I’ve now started running again. There is nothing better than the feeling of FIT!

A piece of advice I can offer to someone starting their fitness journey is…

Don’t be too hard on yourself, everything you do is better than nothing, it will get easier.
